Blinds
A blind is a required bet made before any cards are dealt, used in button games to stimulate action and initiate play, as a standard cardroom rulebook sets out.

Blinds are posted before players look at their cards and normally count as part of the poster's bet, though a structure may treat a blind other than the big blind as dead. With two blinds, the small blind sits immediately clockwise from the button and the big blind next; the largest regular blind is the big blind. First-round action begins left of the blinds.
