Rake is the fee a cardroom operator takes from the pot in exchange for supplying a dealer, a table and a place to play, defined that way in Florida's

cardroom statute as either a set amount or a percentage. State law caps it at a posted maximum, forbids tying it to how much players win, and requires that it be taken visibly and placed in a designated rake area in plain sight. Operators must post all participation costs, including the rake, in the room and at each table.
